First Max Planck Center opens in India

On February 3, 2010, the "Indo German Max Planck Center for Computer Science" was inaugurated at the Indian Institute of Technology in Delhi by German President Horst Köhler and Indian Research Minister Prithviraj Chavan. This first Max Planck Center was to be followed by others. For the MPG, the Max Planck Centers are a central element of its internationalization strategy. In this way, it is expanding its cooperation with top international research institutions - from Vancouver to Lausanne, from Princeton to Paris, from Jerusalem to Tokyo.
