Address: Wissenschaftsforum, Markgrafenstrasse 37, 10117 Berlin
Since 2003, the Berlin Office has represented the interests of the Max Planck Society in the German capital and intensified its relations with decision-makers in politics, science, industry and society. In close exchange with other science and research organizations, parliamentary representatives, the federal ministries, as well as (civil) society organizations, associations and companies, we want to make the importance of basic research and the successful work of our scientists visible and position them in the capital. Regular events such as the Classic Open Air or the Parliamentary Sundowner provide insights into the scientific and science policy work of the Max Planck Society.
In our office in the WissenschaftsForum at Gendarmenmarkt, colleagues from the departments "Science Policy and Strategy", “Communication”, "Legal Affairs", work together. The office is headed by the Head of Department for Science Policy and Strategy, Dr. Christiane Walch-Solimena.
