Gertrud Reemtsma Ph.D. Award

The Gertrud Reemtsma Foundation awards scholarships to exceptionally qualified candidates who are starting their doctoral thesis in basic neurological research (Gertrud Reemtsma PhD Award). The award is endowed with 1600 € per month and is valid for a period of 2 years. If the doctoral thesis receives the distinction “summa cum laude”, a further 3000 € is awarded. In addition to the top academic track record the project must exhibit quality and originality.

Qualified candidates can apply for by enclosing a CV and a description of the research project including details of previous work (max. 3 pages). Furthermore 2 reference letters should be added.

Applications can be submitted every year (in German) until the deadline of April 30th to:

Additional Gertrud Reemtsma PhD Award in 2018

The Gertrud Reemtsma Foundation awards in 2018 an additional scholarship beginning on July 1st, 2018 to exceptionally qualified candidates who are starting their doctoral thesis in basic neurological research (Gertrud Reemtsma PhD Award).
