Summary
Artificial photosynthesis uses sunlight to drive chemical reactions. Researchers in the Department of Colloid Chemistry are developing carbon nitride catalysts that are efficient, durable, and can be made from simple, readily available starting materials. Our work opens practical perspectives for photocatalytic CO2 reduction, sunlight-driven hydrogen peroxide production, and plastic upcycling – positioning artificial photosynthesis as a scalable, sustainable complement to industrial chemistry.
