Health Management

Healthy in the Workplace and Beyond

Healthy, fit, active – these are qualities we all aspire to. As an employer, the Max Planck Society supports its staff members with a range of services encompassing corporate health management, mental health, and a specialised advisory service.

Max Planck does not focus solely on the health-promoting behaviours of its employees in the realm of health management; it also concentrates on operational processes and structures. This includes aspects such as workplace atmosphere, communication, and leadership behaviours. Our aim is to promote the individual physical and mental health of all staff members, as well as to develop and expand a health- and resilience-enhancing organisational and leadership culture across Max Planck.

EMAP - a central building block

The Max Planck Society offers its staff members and scholarship holders a unique service: the Employee and Manager Assistance Program, abbreviated EMAP. Staff members and managers can address their concerns at any time to a professional, external, and anonymous advisory service, currently provided by the Fürstenberg Institute.

Furthermore, there is an internal event programme and network for occupational health management.
