On the initiative of the Max Planck Society and with the support of the Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings, 150 Nobel Laureates from a wide range of disciplines signed a declaration calling for the restoration of peace in the face of the Russian war of aggression in Ukraine. The declaration follows on from the Mainau Declaration of 1955 against the use of nuclear weapons. It was co-initiated by Otto Hahn, the first President of the Max Planck Society, at the 5th Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting.
