Solid State Research & Material Sciences Structural and Cell Biology

Job Code: IS_W035

Job Offer from March 19, 2021

What if robotic systems could interact with the world with the same dexterity as humans do? Haptic sensing technologies enable robots to sense and react to their environment through physical contact, which can complement visual and spatial information to produce complex behaviors. Led by Katherine J. Kuchenbecker, the MPI-IS Haptic Intelligence department aims to investigate robot control approaches based on innovative soft sensing technologies for manipulation tasks.
