The Max Planck Institute for Physics is a research institute focussing on particle and astroparticle physics from experimental and theoretical perspectives. We have an opening for postdoctoral researchers in the Theory Department.
The Theory Group of the Max Planck Institute for Physics in Munich plans to make appointments on the postdoctoral level starting in fall 2018.
The current staff members and group leaders of the theory group are Ralph Blumenhagen, Georgi Dvali, Thomas Hahn, Gudrun Heinrich, Wolfgang Hollik, Dieter Lüst, Georg Raffelt, Frank Steffen and Stephan Stieberger.
The interests of the group include a wide range of topics in theoretical and phenomenological particle physics relevant for the LHC and the ILC, physics beyond the Standard Model, string theory, astroparticle physics and cosmology, and mathematical and non-perturbative aspects of field theory. For more information see https://www.mpp.mpg.de/en/research/.
Salary and benefits are in accordance with the German public service pay scale (TVöD Bund). The Max Planck Society is committed to increase the number of individuals with disabilities in its workforce and therefore encourages applications from such qualified individuals. Furthermore, the Max Planck Society seeks to increase the number of women in those areas where they are underrepresented and therefore explicitly encourages women to apply.
Applications must be submitted through the application form at https://postdoc.mpp.mpg.de and should include a curriculum vitae, a list of publications, a statement of research interests, and names and e-mail addresses of three referees that will provide letters of recommendation.
